Safety Radar Awarded $380K Industry Innovation Grant by State of Oklahoma

Tulsa-based startup is an AI-driven risk management platform

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa-based startup, Safety Radar, an AI-driven platform that helps organizations manage operational risk by quickly identifying and addressing potential hazards to protect employees, assets, and reputations, has been awarded a $380,000 Industry Innovation Grant. Safety Radar provides a comprehensive approach to risk management, offering real-time data collection and analysis to transform workplace safety practices.

The grant was awarded by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) after a highly competitive process that drew companies from across the state to apply. Over 70 companies applied for the Industry Innovation grant, and Safety Radar was rated in the top eight applicants.

Keeping those people safe is a mission that deserves our best technology and effort,” said Safety Radar’s CEO, Garrison Haning. “This Industry Innovation Grant is a tremendous accomplishment for the team and will be a great investment for Oklahoma. Supporting cutting edge technology in such an important market is what sets our state apart from other states; leaning into the frontier, both geographically and technologically, is in Oklahoma’s DNA.”

It is estimated that a workplace injury occurs every six seconds with workplace injuries estimated to cost more than $160 billion annually. Safety Radar’s Live Risk Platform utilizes advanced AI technology to analyze a company’s data allowing less time spent reading reports and more time addressing risks and keeping employees safe.

Safety Radar is a successful spin out from Tulsa-based nonprofit startup incubator Rose Rock Bridge, and subsequently completing a venture backed fundraising round led by Energy Innovation Capital, with Helmerich & Payne Corporate Ventures, Cortado Ventures, and Denver Angels DA Ventures. Based in Tulsa and Denver, Safety Radar has continued to scale up and make an impact in the regional community, growing its local high tech workforce and serving multiple Fortune 500 companies and privately held organizations.
